Accomplishments

- Wetaskiwin has had over $80 million dollars in development in the past five years ~ $40 million of that in commercial development.

- Wetaskiwin is growing – since the last federal census, Wetaskiwin has added nearly 1000 new residents. We saw 3.6% growth last year alone.

- Wetaskiwin has had 15 new housing starts in 2025 – this is just the start of some new development being planned for 2026.

- I lobbied for an additional $21.9 million from the provincial government for our wastewater treatment facility and was successful through two separate grants. One through Transportation and Economic Corridors for $4 million and the other through Alberta Treasury Board and Finance for $17.9 – which has helped reduced utility rates by 13%.

- Wetaskiwin’s crime rate is at an eight-year low and dropped 20% from last year - RCMP calls for service were reduced by nearly 1000 from 2023 to 2024.

- I lobbied for 10 additional RCMP members – we received a grant from the provincial government for 10 members for three years. At the conclusion of that grant, the province agreed to continue paying for six RCMP members at no cost to the city.

- Thanks to some amazing community members, Wetaskiwin will be home to a new spray park and an accessible playground.

- We added curbside organic pick-up to our services at no cost to the residents.

- We introduced the Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) which will help lower utility costs for residents.

- I introduced open microphone at council meetings, hosted roundtables with the mayor, and started coffee with the community at several coffee shops and restaurants with council.
